The eagle came to rescue the man because it had established a very close bond with him – he had kept it as his hunting partner for a very long time, and they had developed an uncanny psychic sense of each other’s situation. The eagle could feel that grave danger was imminently facing the charming young man, and it instinctively came to his rescue as it did not want him to die.
Alas, the princess had directed the charismatic young man to the door with the tiger as she did not want him to marry another woman. Love is selfish. The princess would rather sacrifice the life of the man whom she loved than to permit him to live with another woman.

Compulsary Blog Post 3
A ferocious tiger came springing out of the door. The young man was taken aback - he was astonished and wondered why his lover, the princess had betrayed him. Stunned momentarily, he stood rooted to the ground. However, he regained his composure almost immediately. He deftly dodged away from the sudden attack of the tiger. He then sprinted around the arena in attempt to escape from ravenous red-eyed beast. However, the tiger was closing up on him extremely quickly. Out of the blue, an eagle came swooping down from the azure blue sky. It picked the man up and soared into the sky. The bewildered crowd watched in amazement as the man made his escape. The princess cried out loud in utter disbelief.

Journal According To Jack Noonan
Dear Diary,
The case which I handled today was an exteremely mysterious one.
After hours of detective work and questioning, we still could not find out who was the one who committed the crime. Patrick Maolney was struck at the back of his head with a heavy blunt instrument according to the doctor. However, we could not find any heavy objects in the house.
Mary also seemed to be behaviouring awkwardly today. She knew that we were not allowed to eat or drink while invetigating a crime scene but she kept persuading us to do so today. Maybe it was because of her emotions that overwhelmed her.
However, I think there might be a small clue which is very important. Once we have found the weapon, the culprit would also be known. While eating the lamb leg, a few of us discussed and concluded that the fatal wepon which had caused poor Patrick's death could have been the lamb leg. Could Mrs Maloney have been the culprit?
No, that was impossible. She looked so devastated and distressed. She loved Patrick so much. She certainly wasn't the murderer.
However, I really wished that we did not eat the lamb's leg. That might have been the exact weapon we were looking for. Now that we have destroyed the clue, the case might be even harder to solve.
I would continue the investigation tomorrow. I will be more alert in future.
Signing off,
Jack

Blog Post 3 - Chinese New Year (Xin Nian)
Chinese New Year is celebrated by many people all over the world. It is a very significant occasion for the Chinese. It is also known as the spring festival. The Chinese believes in getting together during this festive season, hence no matter how far they are away from home, they will usually make an effort to be united with their family.
There are many Chinese beliefs and practices for the New Year. For eg one should not wash one’s hair nor sweep the floor on the first day, as hair sounds like luck in Mandarin and sweeping the floor will mean sweeping away your luck. Auspicious greetings are heard whenever one meets another on this joyous occasion. Greetings such as “Nian Nian You Yu”, “Gong Xi Fa Cai” are commonly used and these greetings are link with prosperity and luck.
Each year before the Chinese New Year, we will have to clean and tidy up our home. This is necessary as it signifies sweeping away all the bad luck and start the year afresh. I have always find this a chore as it is extremely tiring to clean up the whole house over a few days. However, hard work always pays off. My relatives always envy my home as it is spick and span. Shopping for the New Year and getting a new hair cut are the essential activities too.
The Chinese animal signs are a 12-year cycle used for dating the years. Every year is assigned an animal name or “sign” according to a repeating cycle : Rat, Ox , Tiger,, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar. Therefore every twelve years the same animal or “sign” would reappear. This year is the year of the tiger. I am born in the year of the rat, though most of my friends at the same age are born in the year of the Ox. This is because I am born a few days before the Chinese New Year. In the lunar calendar I am considered as an year end child.
As part of the Chinese New Year celebration, the elders and the married couples will give children “ang pow”. These are red packets which signify prosperity, blessing and good luck. I love visiting my relatives during this period, not only will I be richer with the money collected in the red packets, I also get to see my relatives whom I have not met for a year. Usually for each relative I visit , I will be treated with many delectable New Year Cookies.
This year, the first day of Chinese New Year falls on the 14 February which is also the Valentine’s day. The Chinese will celebrate the New Year for 15 days. On the seventh day , it is known as the “Ren Ri” which means the birthday of every human being. On that day, special dishes such as “seven variety of vegetables” and raw fish will be served.
Oh ! I will have to wait for another year before my favourite festive season will be around the corner again.

Diary Entry - Imaging yourself as Mary Maloney
Dear diary,
I am feeling both guilty and nervous. I had just committed murder a few hours ago. My husband, Patrick had told me that he wanted to leave me when he came home. I was stunned and shocked at his words. I felt hurt and angry. How could Patrick be so unfaithful to me? How could he bear to leave me and our baby?
I was so upset that I used the frozen lamb’s leg to smash his skull. I could not control my emotions at all. After that, I was in a dilemma and did not know what to do.
To save myself and the baby, I decided that I would act as normal as possible an dto cover up the incident. Therefore, I went up to my room to practice my speech on what I wanted to say to the grocer, Sam. Everything went fine. When I came home, I found Patrick lying on the floor unconscious. I rushed towards him and began crying my heart out naturally.
Right after, I dialled for the police. I told them that I found Patrick dead and they assured me that they would arrive soon.
While waiting for the police to arrive, I felt that I was right in killing Patrick. Was I wrong to kill him? Why did he betray me? Why did he want to leave me and the baby? Did he not love me? Did he not care for the baby? How could he bear to dump me and the baby? Why is he so heartless? All I did was to keep Patrick with my baby and me. Is that wrong?
The police came quickly and when I opened the door, I saw two of Patrick’s friends-Jack Noonan and O’Malley. I fell into Jack’s arms instantaneously. I then asked if Patrick was dead. “Yes,” came the reply.
While investigating the scene, I offered the detectives a drink. I also offered them the lamb which was in the oven. After much persuasion, they accepted my offer.
After destroying the evidence which was used to kill Patrick, the policemen left. I felt extremely relieved. I hope that they would never be able to find the culprit so that I would not be jailed or hanged. I want to be able to look after my baby after he is born. I want him to have a mother. I want to be there watching him grow up. I will not desert him like Patrick.

My First LA Lesson In The Computer Lab
Today , Mr Lundberg , my Language Arts(LA) teacher , brought us to the computer lab. He gave us three assignments. Firstly, we had to create a blog. Next, everyone had to create a facebook account. We also had to do a quiz on what our preferred methods of learning was.
As I had created a blog before , the first task was not too difficult for me. I also have an existing Facebook account, so I did not have to create a new one. The quiz was quite a difficult one, as there were many questions that I was not sure what my answers would be. After the quiz , a pie chart was shown as the above diagram.

The pie chart was used to show what kinds of learnng methods suited us most. I felt that it would be very useful to me next time. I also agreed with the informaton of the pie chart, as it was able to accurately describe the learning methods which suited me best. I also had quite a hard time trying to browse the screen shot but I managed to in the end.
Today's lesson was fun and extremely interesting. I hope that Mr Lundberg would take us to the computer lab more often.
