Journal According To Jack Noonan

Dear Diary,

The case which I handled today was an exteremely mysterious one.

After hours of detective work and questioning, we still could not find out who was the one who committed the crime. Patrick Maolney was struck at the back of his head with a heavy blunt instrument according to the doctor. However, we could not find any heavy objects in the house.

Mary also seemed to be behaviouring awkwardly today. She knew that we were not allowed to eat or drink while invetigating a crime scene but she kept persuading us to do so today. Maybe it was because of her emotions that overwhelmed her.

However, I think there might be a small clue which is very important. Once we have found the weapon, the culprit would also be known. While eating the lamb leg, a few of us discussed and concluded that the fatal wepon which had caused poor Patrick's death could have been the lamb leg. Could Mrs Maloney have been the culprit?

No, that was impossible. She looked so devastated and distressed. She loved Patrick so much. She certainly wasn't the murderer.

However, I really wished that we did not eat the lamb's leg. That might have been the exact weapon we were looking for. Now that we have destroyed the clue, the case might be even harder to solve.

I would continue the investigation tomorrow. I will be more alert in future.

Signing off,
Jack
